Our three most popular cakes are our vanilla bean, our strawberry, and our chocolate caramel. The vanilla cake is pretty standard -- but we enhance it with a delicious vanilla bean paste. Our strawberry cake is made with real, fresh strawberries, and topped with a cream cheese icing. And the chocolate caramel is a rich chocolate cake with a caramel filling that’s finished with a dark chocolate ganache for icing. You can’t go wrong with these cakes, which is why I think they’re our most popular for events that need to feed multiple people.
But we also fill more unique orders. I recently had a woman ask for a brown butter pecan cake. I’d never made that kind of dessert before, but I was excited for the challenge! I found a recipe for a maple walnut cake, and substituted the walnuts for pecans, then browned some butter and made the cake in a normal way. I finished the cake by drizzling it with a brown sugar simple syrup and topping it with a vanilla buttercream. It was incredible!
Typically, we need at least two days notice for custom order cakes. But, as long you give us that, we can create just about anything you could want. And if you’re not sure what that is, come by and talk with us. We’ll give you all kinds of ideas.
That extends beyond cakes. I’ve provided a range of desserts for the people who rent our event room. Macaron towers are a big hit, as are gelato cakes. We’ve also made cheesecake bites, cupcakes, mini-cannolis, and little trifle cups. The list goes on. And on.
